From Idea to Success – The Journey of OsseoLabs
Born from a small idea in the Mechanical Engineering Lab at King Mongkut’s University of Technology Thonburi (KMUTT), OsseoLabs emerged as a pioneering Thai startup with a mission to bring deep-tech innovation out of the lab and into the real world. Their vision is to transform engineering research into medical innovations that can save lives.
In the field of hospital technology, precision is everything. OsseoLabs is at the forefront of using 3D printing in healthcare and AI in surgery to create personalized surgical devices that help surgeons operate faster, more accurately, and with better patient outcomes.
From TECHBITE Incubator to National Recognition
Joining the TECHBITE Incubator was a pivotal step for OsseoLabs. The program allowed them to refine their early-stage ideas, tap into market opportunities, and win national recognition.
“We develop bioresorbable implants that can be customized through AI to solve some of the most complex surgical challenges. Our aim is not only to make surgeons’ work easier but also to deliver better patient recovery and improve quality of life,” said Suppakrit Khrueaduangkham, Design Manager.
Deep Mentorship and Hands-On Development
During their time in TECHBITE, the team received intensive mentoring that sharpened their business model, strengthened market communication, and positioned them more effectively in the medical technology sector. A major highlight was the hands-on support from mentors with deep industry expertise, enabling the team to act swiftly and confidently.
From Challenges to the Global Stage
After completing the program, OsseoLabs overcome challenges in research, development, testing, and refining products to truly meet the needs of doctors and patients. Each step became a valuable learning experience that built resilience and expertise.
This determination opened doors to international opportunities. OsseoLabs was selected as one of the few Thai startups to participate in SLUSH 2025, one of the world’s largest startup events in Finland, and was accepted to join JLABS by Johnson & Johnson, a leading global incubator for life sciences startups.
Vision for the Future
“Our next goal is to bring this medical innovation to hospitals worldwide so that every patient can benefit from it,” said Suppakrit. He also left a message for the next generation of startups:
“Always adapt, embrace feedback, and build a strong network. Persistence and continuous learning will lead to long-term success.”
