Meet the winners of the ANT Accelerator Demo Day 2023

King Mongkut’s University of Technology Thonburi (KMUTT) achieved a significant milestone with the successful conclusion of its highly anticipated Demo Day event, showcasing the remarkable achievements of the ANT Accelerator Program. The ANT program, a key component of KMUTT’s larger project to establish a competency technology transfer platform, aims to accelerate technology adoption and foster an entrepreneurial spirit among staff and students. This initiative aligns perfectly with the university’s vision of becoming a leading entrepreneurial and sustainable science and technology institution in ASEAN.

During the Demo Day event, the ANT Accelerator Program showcased its transformative potential as eight exceptional teams from KMUTT took the stage. These teams not only exemplified the program’s efficacy in nurturing ideas but also proved their ability to translate them into tangible solutions that address pressing challenges. Among the remarkable projects presented, we are proud to announce the success of five winning teams who secured grants for product development. Let’s delve into these standout projects and explore their promising journey.

KomilO, a team focused on driving dairy farm productivity to new heights, presented their advanced estrus detection solution. With a goal of achieving a minimum 90% accuracy rate in detecting estrus in dairy cows, KomilO aims to increase conception rates by at least 10% in herds across a minimum of 50 dairy farms in Thailand. Their solution holds tremendous promise for improving dairy farming practices and enhancing productivity in the industry.

BVER introduced their indoor localization technology designed to enhance efficiency in patient care and intra-logistics within healthcare facilities. Powered by beacon technology, BVER enables accurate tracking of patients and healthcare workers, optimizing processes to deliver the best possible services. Their comprehensive services, including porter management, indoor navigation, route optimization, and emergency patient treatment, promise to revolutionize healthcare operations and improve patient care.

NPI showcased their automatic pressure sore prevention system, which utilizes sensors to measure skin pressure and adjusts the position of the bed occupant’s body through an electric multi-lobe air mattress. By effectively reducing pressure that causes pressure sores in patients, NPI’s innovative system has the potential to significantly improve the quality of care for individuals who are bedridden or have limited mobility.

OsseoLabs captivated the audience with their 3D-printing technology for medical implants and surgical solutions. By utilizing artificial intelligence (AI) and additive manufacturing, OsseoLabs aims to improve oral and maxillofacial surgery outcomes. Their patented dental implants with unique porous architecture accelerate bone ingrowth, resulting in better long-term stability over conventional implants. The use of patient-specific 3D printed surgical guides further enables highly precise surgeries, leading to quicker recovery and reduced post-surgical care costs.

Modgut, an innovative startup, presented their personalized microbiome data analysis and consultations aimed at improving health through customized medicine, supplements, or meals. With their expertise in microbiology, bioinformatics, and nutrition, Modgut offers high-accuracy microbiome sequencing and analysis to provide tailored recommendations for individual health needs. By leveraging advanced AI and constantly refining their analyses, Modgut is at the forefront of microbiome-based personalized healthcare.

These remarkable projects are just a glimpse of the groundbreaking innovations emerging from KMUTT’s ANT Accelerator Program. The Demo Day event not only highlighted the success of these entrepreneurial ventures but also showcased the program’s effectiveness in nurturing talent and driving technological advancements.

It is worth mentioning that the startup winners of the ANT Demo Day were awarded a grant of 500,000 Thai Baht each for product development. This support will enable them to further refine their solutions, scale their operations, and make a lasting impact in their respective industries.

The ANT Accelerator Program stands as a testament to KMUTT’s commitment to fostering innovation, technology transfer, and sustainable economic growth. By providing financial support, workshops, mentoring, and access to an extensive innovation ecosystem, KMUTT empowers aspiring entrepreneurs to transform their ideas into impactful businesses and contribute to the growth of Thailand’s entrepreneurial ecosystem.

As the ANT program continues to evolve and create an environment conducive to innovation, KMUTT reaffirms its position as a leading educational institution driving positive change through entrepreneurship and technology transfer. With the success of the ANT Demo Day, the university paves the way for a future where cutting-edge solutions become the norm, making a profound impact on industries and society as a whole.
